This thread discusses - What is needed to education all health care staff in the GP surgery and the community about the importance of spiritual needs in health care and how a chaplain can help in meeting these needs?

This may be predominantly done through the profile (web based or paper or both) which would describe who the chaplain is/what the chaplain does and doesn't do/how to refer/who to refer etc. The profile could include an explanation of what we mean by 'spiritual needs' and would need to emphasise that this is distinct from 'religious needs'.
Aim to demonstrate a rolling programme of staff education which is part of being a good service.
Target the WHOLE staff team including receptionists and admin staff.
Needs to form part of induction of new staff and ? new students (medical and ?other inc. nursing).
